Ann Babb was born in Robert Lee, Texas which is near San Angelo, Texas. She was the school teacher at the Molinar School in 1925 and then taught at the Terlingua school in 1926. She was very well liked and was very influential over her students beyond the school subject matter. Zenaida Valenzuela Franco spoke fondly of "Miss Babb" and the many exciting things she taught her to do. Miss Babb even encouraged Zenaida to be a census taker one year. Her daughter "Billie" was also well liked by her classmates.
George worked as a manager in the Chisos Mining Store. Zenaida Valenzuela (later Franco) was a clerk in the ladies department.
