April 7 - Elizabeth Rascon is a granddaughter of Old Terlingua.  Her grandparents come from Old Terlingua. She is an accomplished equestrian.  She won many competitions while living in the greater Dallas area and continued her competitions while she has been attending West Point.  So many descendants of Old Terlingua make us proud; Elizabeth Rascon ranks up there at the top.  She will be featured in a multi-page spread of Latina magazine.  read more

Benigno Franco's family page has a beginning "Family Album" at the bottom of his revised page.  Check out the interesting photos there.  We would lke to add Family Albums to other family pages.
Thanks to photos from Louisa Madrid we have updated her parent's family page, Benigno and Natividad Franco with new pictures and a featured "Family Album" at the bottom of the page that we hope will grow with more photos in the future.

Feb 12 - The winner of the contest, Felix Gonzales selects his book and makes some nice remarks about Familias de Terlingua.
The contest we announced February 7 to win a book from Libros de Terlingua by connecting one of the youngest people on  Familias with the earliest born person on Familias is over.  Joe Gonzales connected them using the links in the family pages and posted his entry here.
Go to the Events page to read more about the contest and click from there to a page with the solution.

February 07, 2010 - With their permission we have added a family page for Ben Franco's daughter Louisa and Joe Madrid including their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Feb 1 We  added photos of Sylvia Adkins and Sophia Butler, two of David's grandchildren.

The Garcias from photo album
Garcia Family Updated -- Luisa Madrid posted a comment in October with 8 additional members of the Dolores Garcia Family.  We finally got around to updating them.  The Dolores Garcia page was one of our earliest pages. We took advantage of this update to "improve" the page to be consistent with newer pages.
We also took the photos to Photoshop.  Hopefully we improved them.  Above is current photo made from the photo below.

January 24, 2010 - We have added pictures to the Loyless family as promised.  We have also added Roy's death certificate to the bottom of his page.

We have made major additions to the Dolores Garcia page.  We added 8 more children to the 4 already there.   We also "improved" the pictures there. We also  made minor changes to linked pages. Check it out.
January 11, 2010 - Friday  Ruben Franco Sandate added two comments to "Discuss Any Topic You Want."  Do you have information for him?

January 1, 2010 - added pictures of Robert Hardin Loyless and Bobbie Jean Corley to Robert Hardin page and picture of Maria Loyless to her page.
We added some pictures of  the Loyless family thanks to our new-found cousin, Sean Loyless.
Pictured above is Maria Loyless from the 1970's.  Sean is "meeting" his cousins on Facebook and has become a member of the "Francos of West Texas" group which Kathy Franco started last summer  in Facebook.  Sean has had his own blog for over 7 years.  Check it out here.

Dec 27 - added Loyless family to "Familias de Terlingua" page and added "Harden Loyless" page.

Dec 25 - Ruben Franco Sandate added a comment to "Discuss Any Topic You Want." So we added a page for Atilano Molinar.
                                   --------
More Molinar pages added for Victoriano Molinar and his children by his second wife Benigna, Alberto, Juan, Paz, y Jose from Bob Wirts' Molinar paper. Valenzuelas link to Molinares by Jesusita Gonzales and Benigna Molinar.

Dec 18 - Comments added to "Discuss Any Family" and "Franco Family Discussion."
Molinar Family - Mariano and Miguel pages added.
Franco Family - Maria Loyless and Robert Hardin Loyless pages  updated.

Louisa Madrid has found additional information on Maria Franco Loyless.  So we updated Maria and Roy's page and added a page for their son Robert Hardin Loyless.

Bob Wirt has written an extensive paper on the Molinar Family and it's relationships with the Franco Family.  It is so extensive that we will be adding it a little at a time.

We started last week by adding the oldest
known level of the family  which is Antonio Molinar and his wife Josefa Muñós.  They had a child born 1810 which means they were likely born in the 1700's.

It may surprise you how many different families have lineage back to them.  For example the Franco family here starts with Francisco Franco who married Juanita Molinar.  Through Juanita Molinar the Francos go back to Antonio Molinar.

Some Valenzuelas are also descended from Antonio Molinar.  We will be adding Victoriano Molinar shortly and you will see how the Valenzuelas connect to Antonio Molinar and
Josefa Muñós.
