"Eudelia Rodriguez, known to many as Yeya, was born and raised in Fort Stockton. Eudelia was a very generous giving person.
She went to school through the 6th grade; then she left school to take care of her siblings. Even though she only went to 6th grade she loved to read. She was a very hard working woman she had two jobs in her lifetime she worked for Dr Sibley and his wife Jane cleaning their house. She also Worked at the El Rancho motel doing laundry until she retired in 1992. She had 6 grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart. She would make her grand kids their favorites: quesadillas and French Fries. She also took care of her nieces and nephews; and would help anyway she could. She always told my sister and me to work hard and never depend on anyone to give you anything and to never give up. She was a strong-willed woman, a good cook, and was never afraid of anything. Her hobbies included reading and doing cross word puzzles and watching her Novelas." Sylvia Franco Flores |
