Hi Tony, Marco here from St. Mary's. Just wanted to add some info. Most of this is from the top of my head and I will have to ask my mom for the specifics.

To add to the family of Jose and Cleofas Ybarra,

Children:

Nacho, Natividad, Manuel, Marcial, Cleotilde, as mentioned above. I will try to get the names for the rest of the offspring whenever I go back to Fort Stockton.

Natividad Ybarra: Dec 25 1915 - Jan 6 2007, Married to Isabel Franco, Children: Nativad Jr. and Maria Concepcion (Connie)

Nat and Delva Ybarra Jr. : Doris, Jennifer, Nat III

Marcos and Connie Mendoza Jr: Marcos Mendoza III

I hope this will help on expanding the Ybarra section. I will also try to submit some photos we have of the family during the early 1900s sometime in December.

In answer to the question "Was Transito Ybarra (referring to the obituary section) related to Alvino Ybarra?" The answer is YES

Transito B. Ybarra (obit) was the son of Transito G. Ybarra and Marcelina Baeza.

Transito G. Ybarra was the son of Victor Ybarra and Jesus Garcia.

Victor and Alvino were brothers. Their parents were Marcial Ybarra and Teodora Galindo. They had five children that I know of: Sons Victor, Alvino and Jose (all of whom lived in the Castolon area) and daughters Blaza and Petra (I don't know if the daughters came to the U.S. The sons came over between 1912-1914.

Marcial Ybarra and Teodora Galindo were married in Ojinaga 10 Nov 1866.
Marcial's parents were Francisco Ybarra and Bartola Galindo.

But, Alvino Ybarra was NOT the first postmaster at Castolon.
