1. Canuta Ramírez was baptized in Jesus Nazareno Temple January 27, 1853. She married Jose Oliveres July 24, 1869 in the same church.
They had two children: a. Daughter Mariana Oliveres was born in 1874 in Mexico. She married Jesus Garcia February 13, 1888 in Jesus Nazareno Temple. By 1900 they had settled in the village of La Coyota, along the Rio Grande River about two miles west of Castolon, Texas. Jesus engaged in farming, raised some sheep and goats, and sold fuel wood to the mining companies in Terlingua and Study Butte. Mariana and Jesus had thirteen children. She married Tiburcio Ramirez, her first cousin, circa 1900 and in 1909 the couple settled in La Coyota, near the home of Jesus' sister Mariana. 2. Crispín Ramírez
was born in 1854 in Ojinaga. He married Micaela Tercero in Jesus Nazareno Temple June 10, 1875. She was the daughter of Marcos Tercero and Dorotea Flores and was born in Rosales, Mexico in 1857. Crispin and Micaela had five children:
a. Tiburcio Tercero Ramirez was born April 6, 1873 in Mexico. He married Maria de Jesus Oliveres. They settled in the village of La Coyota in 1909. He married Paula Valenzuela, daughter of Felipe Valenzuela and Maria de Jesus Bustamante. c. Fernando Ramirez was born in 1878. He married Elisa Ornelas in Jesus Nazareno Temple November 7, 1898. She was the daughter of Florencio Ornelas and Leandra Najera. They had one known child: aa. Daughter Leandra Ramirez was born April 21, 1909. She was baptized in Chisos November 3, 1909 by Father Brocardus. Her godparents were Juan and Jesus Peña. d. Son Domingo Ramirez was born in 1894. He married Maria de Jesus Carrasco November 11, 1918 in Jesus Nazareno Temple. She was the daughter of Catarino Carrasco and Hilaria Carrasco. e. Daughter Dorotea Ramirez was born in 1899. She married Juan Madrid December 7, 1919 in Jesus Nazareno |
