Rafael Natividad

Rafael Natividad
born circa 1901 in Mexico

Senona Ochoa
born circa 1902 in Mexico

Rafael Natividad married Senona Ochoa

Their children include:

1. Marcela Natividad
2. Maria
3. Manuela
4. Carlos
5. Concepcion

The Story: Carlos died when he was about seven from the Spanish influenza.
[editor's note: the Spanish influenza caused a world wide epidemic in 1918.]

Recuerdo: Zenaida Valenzuela Franco stated in a 2004 interview that in Terlingua as the influenza took hold the number of dead was so large that it overwhelmed everyone.  There were so many funerals that the people no longer would go to the funerals. Zenaida was nine years old at the time.  If you have comments on the Spanish Influenza (or anything else) you may discuss it at this link.

The information on this page was provided by María Isabel Pando-Juárez, daughter of Manuel Pando, in a comment submitted July 4, 2011 to Familias de Terlingua and updated on July 7, 2011.
