Recuerdos:
María Isabel remembers "My father took me to see his father’s grave site in Ojinaga.  He passed away when my father was ten years old.  He died of cancer.  My father Manuel and one of his siblings, Élida Pando, have also passed away.

"My grandmother Marcela said she loved
Marcelina Chavarría Pando her mother-in-law.  I remember my grandmother telling us when I was a little girl a story about a little boy being adopted by a Pando family. That little boy is where our lineage starts. I don’t know how true it is, and my grandmother Marcela has since passed away.

"I would love to know if anyone knows anything about the Pando family history. All I know is Carlos Pando married Antonia Ramírez and had a son Atilano Pando. Was he really the only child? Could he be the one adopted by Carlos and Antonia because maybe they couldn't have any of their own? This of course is just me wondering about it with no proof of it at all.

"If you would like more information on Juan and Marcela's children as far as birth dates and who they married and of course the date they passed just let me know. I really would like more information and pictures if anyone has anything to share with me I would really appreciate it!"

The information on this page was provided by María Isabel Pando-Juárez, daughter of Manuel Pando, in a comment submitted July 4, 2011 to Familias de Terlingua which she updated on July 7, 2011.
