Very interesting information on the Jesus Franco family.
Last night I talked to my cousin Mary Mendoza, Natividad and Isabel Ybarra's daughter. She was all excited because she found a video they made recording the Ybarra family information, by her father, Natividad. I always felt like he should have been interviewed by the archives. That man had so much information and an excellent memory. He would tell you information of so many people, not only that, but dates. Not just the year, but the month and the day.
He had a very interesting story about his grandfather, who was taken by Indians as a young boy. When they took him he was with another boy. The other boy was very light complected, so they killed him, stoned him. They were about eight years old. At one time an Indian man and woman took him to Ojinaga, and a woman and her husband recognized him, so they got the Indian couple drunk and took the boy. They went looking for the parents, but they had moved and he never saw his relatives again. Tala, Natividad, said that his grandfather still remembered
many of the Indian ways, that he could whistle like an owl, etc.
