Their Family Story as told by María Louisa Franco Madrid based on her memories and what family members such as Severita:  as told by María Louisa Franco Madrid
Dionicio and Simona were born in Mexico and married in Ojinaga where they lived. Times were very hard, and children were dying from starvation.  Their first child Julián was born in 1859 and died July 10th two years later in 1861.  The year after that, in 1862, their second son Jesús [and his twin sister Eleuteria were] was born.  Sadly two years later in 1964 Eleuteria died on March 27 and a month later her twin brother Jesús died on April 25.  It must have been a very hard time for the family to experience the death of their first three children at such a young age.

Four of their young children died in Ojinaga and are buried there.  Dionicio and Simona immigrated with their three surviving children in 1873 to Fort Stockton, Texas which was known at the time as Comanche.
In 1902, Simona
García (Dionicio's wife) and her four surviving children: Julian, Dolores, Severa, and Juliana moved to Terlingua.
